With the experience of several raft & island projects over the last 12 years, we´re ready to start the real thing. The construction of asap-island starts on a beach in Goa/India.
Step 1: construction of a small sailing raft, catamaran style, made of old tyres, plastic bottles and fishnets. If you can, join the workshop from 16th to 20th of jan. or follow the event on our facebook site. This workshop is part of the global JellyWeek, a simultaneous coworking event of maybe 100 coworking spaces worldwide. On the 20th, the Asia-Jellyday, we´ll launch our raft – no matter how it looks like – and test it in the waves of the arabian sea.
Step 2: On location, the raft will be upgraded into a platform and „floating classroom“ for eco-edutainment and information on asap-island. Here, you can immediatly help by crowdfunding via the german site www.startnext.de. We´re asking for 2012,- € till 19th of jan.2012 to realize this floating classroom, to train teachers and organize continuous lessons on „i-land Goa“.
